Program Highlights

Webbing Into Literacy
For many families, reading books to their child is something new. To promote literacy and to strengthen young children’s learning opportunities we have put together about 125 literacy book packets. Our packets provide an activity for parents and children to do together after they have finished reading a book. When 5 book packets are completed, a child receives a free book and a McDonald’s gift certificate.

S.M.A.R.T.
The Stimulating Maturity through Accelerated Readiness Training (S.M.A.R.T) Curriculum is a multi-sensory approach to learning, designed to develop and enhance the physiological and neurological readiness skills students need to succeed in school. The preschool children participate daily in the S.M.A.R.T. activities in a room designated for those activities and their age level. The curriculum consists of activities for developing a child’s large and fine muscle skills, visual perception and eye-hand coordination in a positive and “play-like” atmosphere.

Early Childhood Alphabet Signals
Early Childhood Alphabet Signals is a system of teaching letter and sound recognition to preschool children. It consists of both auditory and visual cues to assist children in retention of letter names and sounds.

Handwriting Without Tears
This is a simple, developmentally based program that is designed to prepare children for kindergarten. It is not formal handwriting instruction. It is a readiness program to nurture the whole child as a playing, singing, moving, talking, and thinking person. At the same time, this program fosters specific skills that lead to success with coloring, drawing, and handwriting.
